Subject: Christina Update
Good afternoon,
I hope this email finds you well.
I know you have all been waiting to get an update on Christina. Surgery was delayed; she just got out a little while ago and I can finally write something. I am happy to report that everything went well. Not that we doubted it -she was in the hands of two excellent surgeons. She's currently in recovery and will hopefully be taken to her room soon. Due to COVID, only one person is allowed at the hospital. My mom is currently there. Once I know more, I will provide another update but suffice to say, I'm sure it will all be good news. We all know she's a fighter both literally and figuratively.
In the meantime, I wanted to thank you all for your well-wishes and prayers. They mean a lot to our family and have definitely helped Christina stay in good spirits. Please keep them coming. Just to make you all laugh, she woke up early this morning, around 5am to get ready, but initially she didn't know why she had set her alarm. It took her a minute to realize she had to leave for the hospital. Tells you how calm she was before her surgery.

Good morning,
Happy Friday!
I'm not really sure that Christina went through surgery yesterday based on our conversation. She sounded like her usual self and when I asked her how her pain was, she responded "what pain. I feel fine. I would say my pain is a zero". From personal experience, I don't even know how that is possible but I am happy for her. Maybe she's trying to show up her big sister- lol. She's still waiting for that feeling of being hit by a Mac Truck as that it how I unfortunately described it to her. (Lack of judgement on my part).
She's sitting pretty in the hospital with an oceanview room. Talk about getting gold glove treatment. I'm sure that's aiding in her recovery. She's expected to come home later today 😍 but with no oceanview.
On a side note, apologies for not responding to everyone's messages. I can't keep up but I am passing them along and they're brightening Christina's spirits. Remember, we all need to continue our pushups in her honor. Right now, the record stands at 60 (thanks cousin Mike 😊).
